Overview

The College of Energy and Power Engineering was build up in Aug.2014, which consist of the department of energy and power engineering from the school of Mechanic and Electronic Engineering and the department of process equipment and control engineering from the school of material and chemical engineering. The department of energy and power engineering was build up in 1983, and the department of process equipment and control engineering in 2001.

Present over 750 students include graduate students and undergraduate students are trained in the school of energy and power engineering. Both energy and power engineering department and process equipment and control engineering department are the national excellent engineering plan pilot; also the energy and power engineering department is the national special discipline, the pilot discipline of comprehensive reform of Henan Provence. The teaching group of energy and power engineering is the excellent teaching group of Henan Provence.

27 staff working in the college, include 22 full-time teacher, 6 professor, 9 associate professor. Over 50% teachers of the school possessPhDdegree.2 teachers acquired special government allowance from the State Council. 1 is the state model teacher. 2 key teachers of Henan province college. The school created academic environment and teaching group with proper structures of knowledge and ages was build up. The school has the master degree points of refrigeration and cryogenics and power engineering.

In the same time, the college has 1 innovation of science and technology team of Henan province (energy conversation technology of refrigeration and cryogenics device), and 1 innovation of science and technology team of Zhengzhou city (energy conversation of refrigeration device and air-conditioning). More than 10 province level science research rewords were achieved in the past years. 6 national projects and 20 province level projects were undertaken, cost of scientific research is reach 10 million. Over 200 papers were published include 60 papers cited by SCI/EI/ISTP.
