









An initiating party of “Study Pal” program for international students has been held in International Education Collegeat 7 pm on November 7. Twelve international students from Russia and South Korea gathered together with their Chinese study pals. Professor Li Feng, Vice Dean ofInternational Education College and allChinese Language Teachers participated in the event.
During the party, Chinese and Korean students shared their national cultural classics. Chinese students displayed Chinese landmark buildings such as the Great Wall, the Imperial Palace, Shaolin Temple, etc. and traditional food like dumplings, zongzi, moon cakes, and other traditional cultural elements such as Chinese Kong fu, Taiji etc. Korean students introduced important images of China in their eyes and expressed their expectations about their study and life in China. After that, Chinese students performed Chinese style dance, Chinese calligraphy, Taiji, and made a show of Han Fu -- ancient traditional costumes. Four Korean students sang a Chinese song -- Little Rabbit, which aroused a lot of joy inthe audience.In addition, Chinese and international students worked closely in games to make Chinese knots and guess Chinese characters, which reduced the distance between Chinese and foreign students and enhanced their friendship.
Through the International Study Pal program, the students from both sides felt the infinite charm of Chinese culture. It deepens the international students' understanding of the university andstrengthens their sense of belongings.
